Snow Day and Forts!

I promised pictures of another fort so.....Thursday night we had Bjorn and Anders Poulsen over for a sleepover while their parents were out of town! We woke up Friday morning to a snow storm and happy day, the boys had a snow day....and so did Shayne!! So we stayed home and built a fort! The boys were so excited!!
Payson had such a good time with the "big" boys!

As you can see, they built the fort around the tv so they could sit inside and watch movies and play video games!

The finished product! It took up my entire living room!

Flour, Flour and MORE Flour......

I decided to bake some cookies yesterday and thought it would be fun to let Payson help.....I should have known better! He first decided to walk through the flour I had out on the counter and then decided to crawl through it. As you can see, he progressively gets more and more dirty! I couldn't get mad at him for making a mess because he thought it was so funny and of course I couldn't help but laugh and grab the camera!!!
Notice his feet?!

He looks like he has indian stripes on his face!

What fun is baking cookies if you can't eat the dough?

My messy little goober!!

Payson's 1st Baseball Game

Last night we decided to take Payson to his very first baseball game! We went to the the Sky Sox, Colorado's minor league team. It ended up being way more fun then I thought. Payson was soo excited the whole time we were there and of course he had to make friends with everyone! Also, everytime the music would come on he would dance! I thought I took a video of it, but apparently it didn't save! Anyway, he had the whole experience....even pizza and root beer for dinner!!! The hotdogs were a little too big for him!! We had such a great time together and can't wait to go back again!!

Payson showing off his "ticket" and soo excited for the game!!
He was soo happy! Too bad he was looking down!

Sox the Fox

It was late, so we left right before the 6th inning...I was pretty sure we were gonna win anyway! 7-0

With baseball starting, that means summer is in sight!!

Needless to say...we had a great time!!

We May Grow Old, But We Will Never Grow Up.....!

So, this phrase is often used at our house. In fact, Shayne and I love to build forts! We used to do it often before Payson was born and we havn't done it since...sad, I know. Well, the other morning Shayne woke up with Payson and let me sleep in. (Thanks Again Sweetie!!) When I woke up I could here the boys playing in Payson's room. When I walked in, this is what I found!

Payson's first fort!!!!!! Yay!! Shayne had moved his toy shelf over by his crib so they could drape the blanket over it. They were having lots of fun playing peek a boo behind the toy drawers! We decided that since we have soo many blankets that we are gonna make a huge fort downstairs and have a movie night! Oh fun times!!

On Saturday, Shayne's battalion had a big BBQ. They asked him to sing the National Anthem again!! I was so proud of him! Anyway, it was so neat because there are a group of guys from Texas who travel around the country to different Units who are getting ready to deploy, and cook them steak and all the fixin's! The food was great, but the weather was FREEZING!!!! I did get a couple pictures of us playing at the park though!
This is Payson anticipating going down the big slide!

With some encouragement from Mommy and Daddy, he did it and then decided to do it over and over again!!

Swinging with Daddy!

Someday, I hope to get a "normal" picture of these two! But I guess this is why I love them!!

Battalion Ball, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, More Montana and So On...

So, I just got done uploading all of these pictures and then realized I did them backwards! Oh well! We have had some fun adventure these past few weeks! Dad came to visit, we went to Shayne's Battalion Ball, then we made a trip to Bozeman. I didn't get many pictures from when Dad was here because I ended up getting so sick that I barely left the couch! He was a good sport though! Well since these pictures are backwards, then I will explain them backwards!! On our way home from Montana, we spent the night in Casper and decided to go swimming! The pool was fun but Payson preferred the hot tub! Silly Boy!

So, apparently no one was watching Payson, which resulted in this....but we just decided to let him have fun with it!!! And he did!

Family picture with the Quilters!! Jeremy, Tiffany and Ciara. We love them!

So, anyone who knows the Heap's knows that we don't mess around when it comes to ice cream! And here is the proof!!!!

We thought it would be fun to take the boys to feed the ducks.....Payson was more fascinated with playing in the water and mud puddles! And then he got stuck!
Quick shot of the Sweethearts!

Payson kept eating the bread instead of feeding it to the ducks!
Here ducky ducky
Haircuts from our favorite Max!

Shayne and Jeremy! How could you not love these two!

Garbage can racing! Who is having more fun?!

While Dad was here, I toughened up long enough to go to the Zoo...
Grandpa and payson with the Giraffes
And finally, the Battalion Ball! I didn't take too many pics, but hopefully we can get more from the photographer. This was after we had been dancing our buns off, so we are a little shiny!

Shayne was chosen to sing the National Anthem at the ball. I was so proud of him and thought he did amazing! Here is a video!

Happy Spring and Ten Feet of Snow!!!

Ok, so it's not ten feet...yet! For Shayne's block leave we decided to come home to Bozeman!!! Little did we know it was still winter here! And you would think that after living here for 6 years that I would know to bring a coat no matter what time of year it is...Well I didn't. Luckily though, I did pack one for Payson. We left Colorado Springs Monday night with intentions of getting to Bozeman Tuesday afternoon. Well, we made it to Cheyenne, Wy and the road was closed due to a snow storm. So we spent the night. The next morning, roads were still closed so we decided to take the LOOONG way around and drive to Logan and stay with The Biggers then drive on to Bozeman the next day. Well, the road to Utah was closed too! Long story short, we took an even longer route, made it to The Biggers and then finally to Bozeman Wednesday afternoon....and it has been snowing ever since!!! Grant and Payson have been having such a great time playing together. It's been fun to watch them interact now that they are both old enough to be "buds". I just wanted to post some of the pics from yesterday and today. It is soo great to be back here for a few days. Once we came through the canyon through Big Sky it was just like a breath of fresh air. The week before we came, we had an adventurous week, so I will post those when we get home along with the rest of our Montana adventure! This picture of the boys was way too cute!
Shayne blasting Em with snow!

Making snowballs!

Dancin time!

Grant decided to shovel the sidewalk today, in his Mom's shoes!! Payson went out to "help"

Catching snowflakes on my eyelashes!

I just love this shot!
