January 13th

Today Payson was the Spotlight kid in Primary. They told a couple things about him and he brought his favorite stuffed animal and told the Primary about him. He looked so Handsome for church today but I didn't get a picture. :( My boys are both picky about their cookies and pretty much will only eat homemade chocolate chip! Today we "finally" made some! Payson loves helping out in the kitchen. I'm pretty sure he ate more cookies than all of us! We played Uno while we ate them and Payson won!! We ended the evening watching Peter Pan and snuggling on the couch!

 

January 12th

Tonight we made our second appearance at Texas T-Bone! The place is so dang yummy!! We decided to bring the sqeaker this time!! He was pretty impressed with the giant trough of peanuts!! He didn't actually eat the peanuts, but he cracked a lot of them open so he could throw the shells on the ground. He was also a big fan of the hot rolls with cinnamon butter!! The Cotters and Luke and Emily Grotelueschen joined us as well!

 

January 11th

Tonight my dear friend Brandi was going to be home alone since her Hubby Aaron had Staff Duty, so we decided to have a girls night! We ate dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and then walked over to Color Me Mine and painted some pottery!! Friday night is PJ night, so we all wore our Jammies and had a great time!!

 

January 10th

A couple weeks ago, Kohen introduced us to Mr. Corn in the PX. Payson was so good today so I took him to get some! He chose "cheese corn" and ate nearly the whole cup! It is pretty delicious! Now that I get off work a little earlier, I had the opportunity to finally go to the pool with my boys tonight! Our friends Chad and Cheri Cotter joined us! It's so nice to have so many friends who love our sweet boy!! Tonight was a pretty exciting night for our Family because after a couple years of being terrified to even lean back in the water, Payson finally faced his fears and layed flat on his back with his head in the water!! We were so proud of him!!

 

January 9th

Payson has turned into quite the artist in the last couple months. He draws every chance he gets! He definitely gets this from his Pappa! Great Uncle Sam and Aunt Ann bought him this awesome easel, complete with paper, colored pencils, chalk, and water colors. I love his concentration face! 

 

January 8th

Today was pretty chilly, so after Payson got home from school, the boys and I stayed inside and ate "raw noodles", baked perfect no mess brownies, and played Thomas Uno for a good hour! Kohen had played before and he won everytime!

January 7th

A couple days a week I watch a sweet little boy named Kohen. He and Payson have become great friends! Today was OBVIOUSLY a superhero kind of day!! They each even carried around the mini versions of themselves (painted by Gramma Jen) to give them extra power!

 

January 6th

Today was the first Sunday of the new year, so Payson moved up to the CTR 5 class in Primary! Before we know it, he will be getting baptized. He sure is turning into quite the handsome little man.

 

 

 

 

After church we went over to the Gappmayer's house where Thomas and Yana cooked us all  authentic Indian cuisine! I wasn't sure how I would like it, but it all tasted amazing!! Well except for the "bitter gourd". It tasted exactly like what it is called! Haha! That's what is in the pan on the top right! After dinner we all went downstairs where we ate brownies and drank Indian soda while Thomas showed us incredible pictures and told us about his trip to Nepal! We love having the Gappmayers so close and will miss them when we leave.

 

January 5th

I had to work for a few hours this morning, so Pappa and Payson went to lunch together at Payson's new favorite place "Panera's". He likes it because they have "seashell mac n cheese with my favorite white sauce." When I finished working Pappa and I went on a date! We went to see Les Mis. The movie was INCREDIBLE!! After the movie we met up with our Friends the Lambs and the Brizuelas at Texas T-Bone. We had never been there before and it was SO YUMMY! We ate so much! After dinner we had to rush home so I could get out to Butts Army Airfield to welcome home some Soldiers and capture memories for a Family who was getting their Daddy back after a year in Afghanistan. It was a perfect end to the night!

 

January 4th

Day 3 and I'm still going strong! Woo Hoo! Pappa got home from work early today so we went for a Family lunch to my FAVORITE place! FUJIYAMA!! BEST sushi ever! And it's half off for lunch! I am a little bit spoiled! Luckily Payson really likes this place too. After we filled our bellies with sushi and spicy honey chicken, we headed to the carwash! My poor car. Between all the snow and mud, it needed some babying. Not to mention Payson thinks the carwash is as cool as Disneyland..

 

 

 

 

 

I had to work this evening, so the boys wanted to go to the pool! First they decided to exercise. I know Pappa looks blurry but he was moving too fast! It was about the cutest thing ever!! Pappa was nice enough to send me some pics from the pool just so I could add them to the blog! :) He also sent me a video of Payson going all the way under the water by himself! We are slowly making progress with his deep water fear!! I can't believe our little Dude is 5!!

 

 

January 3rd

Today we had to get back to real life. :( Pappa worked a full day and the Squeaker went back to school. I am still on the mend from this cold/flu and had a photoshoot this morning, so by after lunch I was ready for a nap. All I had to do was lay down and Payson hopped up right next to me. We have been so busy lately that our cuddle times are way too few and far between! I love that my Sweet Boy loves to cuddle and I take advantage every chance I get. I know these days won't last forever! This kid seriously melts my heart and our lives would be awful boring without him!!

 

 

365 Days of Blogging!! January 2nd, 2013

 

So, I haven't blogged in almost a year. What can I say? I'm a busy lady. This year, FOR REALS, I want to do a 365 day blog. We have a HUGE year ahead of us and my plan is to have this printed out at the end of the year! I will just post a picture or two of what we do each day! Yesterday I was sick and laid out on the couch most of the day, So I am starting today. Better late than never! Today was our last day of Christmas break, so we decided to spend it with some of our favorite friends, The Cooks! Their youngest Liam and Payson have been best buds since they were 2, and their older two, Evan and Sarah babysit for Payson! We sure love their sweet Family to pieces. I'm trying not to think about the fact that we will be saying our "see you soons" in a few short months. :( So anyway, today we met over at the Thunder Alley Bowling Lanes on Post and played a couple games! Bill won the first game and then Nicole swept the floor and won the second!! Payson beat Evan and Liam with a total score of 94!! Way to go Bub!
