Battalion Ball, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, More Montana and So On...

So, I just got done uploading all of these pictures and then realized I did them backwards! Oh well! We have had some fun adventure these past few weeks! Dad came to visit, we went to Shayne's Battalion Ball, then we made a trip to Bozeman. I didn't get many pictures from when Dad was here because I ended up getting so sick that I barely left the couch! He was a good sport though! Well since these pictures are backwards, then I will explain them backwards!! On our way home from Montana, we spent the night in Casper and decided to go swimming! The pool was fun but Payson preferred the hot tub! Silly Boy!

So, apparently no one was watching Payson, which resulted in this....but we just decided to let him have fun with it!!! And he did!

Family picture with the Quilters!! Jeremy, Tiffany and Ciara. We love them!

So, anyone who knows the Heap's knows that we don't mess around when it comes to ice cream! And here is the proof!!!!

We thought it would be fun to take the boys to feed the ducks.....Payson was more fascinated with playing in the water and mud puddles! And then he got stuck!
Quick shot of the Sweethearts!

Payson kept eating the bread instead of feeding it to the ducks!
Here ducky ducky
Haircuts from our favorite Max!

Shayne and Jeremy! How could you not love these two!

Garbage can racing! Who is having more fun?!

While Dad was here, I toughened up long enough to go to the Zoo...
Grandpa and payson with the Giraffes
And finally, the Battalion Ball! I didn't take too many pics, but hopefully we can get more from the photographer. This was after we had been dancing our buns off, so we are a little shiny!

Shayne was chosen to sing the National Anthem at the ball. I was so proud of him and thought he did amazing! Here is a video!

Happy Spring and Ten Feet of Snow!!!

Ok, so it's not ten feet...yet! For Shayne's block leave we decided to come home to Bozeman!!! Little did we know it was still winter here! And you would think that after living here for 6 years that I would know to bring a coat no matter what time of year it is...Well I didn't. Luckily though, I did pack one for Payson. We left Colorado Springs Monday night with intentions of getting to Bozeman Tuesday afternoon. Well, we made it to Cheyenne, Wy and the road was closed due to a snow storm. So we spent the night. The next morning, roads were still closed so we decided to take the LOOONG way around and drive to Logan and stay with The Biggers then drive on to Bozeman the next day. Well, the road to Utah was closed too! Long story short, we took an even longer route, made it to The Biggers and then finally to Bozeman Wednesday afternoon....and it has been snowing ever since!!! Grant and Payson have been having such a great time playing together. It's been fun to watch them interact now that they are both old enough to be "buds". I just wanted to post some of the pics from yesterday and today. It is soo great to be back here for a few days. Once we came through the canyon through Big Sky it was just like a breath of fresh air. The week before we came, we had an adventurous week, so I will post those when we get home along with the rest of our Montana adventure! This picture of the boys was way too cute!
Shayne blasting Em with snow!

Making snowballs!

Dancin time!

Grant decided to shovel the sidewalk today, in his Mom's shoes!! Payson went out to "help"

Catching snowflakes on my eyelashes!

I just love this shot!

Stevie, Food Poisoning and Everything is 50 Cents!

Two days after we got home from Seattle we got to have a quick visit with Grandpa David and pick Stevie up from the airport! She got to stay for a few days and we had planned to have fun but.....When she got to our house she was sick so we had to make a midnight run to the grocery store to get things to make her all better! Thursday, we went to Real Deals and Children's Orchard and had a great day! Then on Friday we had planned to go on a date and Stevie and Payson would have a play date! But...before our date we ate very yummy but not so nice caramel apples! I ended up being sick all night and therefore did not get to go on a date! Saturday we had planned to spend the day in Denver and eat at Casa Bonita. Unfortunately, Shayne was up sick all night but we decided to go to Denver anyway.....he ended up sleeping the whole day in the car while we ran around. We found a way fun Children's Museum and was very sad that Shayne did not come in with us.... Payson loved the toddler section. He would have stayed there all day!
Checking to see if anyone is home!

Picking some carrots and turnips from the garden!
He is always so eager to share everything.

Finger paint time!

He must have loved getting his hands all gooey!

They had a mini grocery store with mini carts! This cracked us up watching him push that!

My Little Fire Fighter!

Aunt Stevie and Payson with the "real" Fire man!
After the Museum Shayne was still sick so I decided to just drive home rather than go out to dinner. I felt so bad because he was soo miserable! But some good came out of missing out on Casa Bonita! We discovered a wing place right by our house that has a sauce that tastes like Willow Creek Ribs! YUM! On Sunday, Shayne began to feel a little better and of course it was time for Stevie to go home! Overall, we had a fun week and next time we will all take our vitamins so we don't get sick!

Payson chowing on some apple!

This is totally random, but we saw this sign when we were out and about and thought it was Hilarious!!!!!!

Seattle!!

After Shayne spent almost a month in Louisiana, we decided to have a family getaway! We decided Seattle would be so fun since Aunt and Uncles Joyce and Bill and Dan and Mareen both live near by and we would get to see our favorite Quilters!! I also invited Jonathan to come spend the weekend with us, which was a suprise for Shayne! We had a really good time seeing the sights and just hanging out conducting Orchestras on Wii Music!! Here are some memories of out trip!

This was our view from the plane. Beautiful!

We made a stop by the Seattle Aquarium and we got to touch the Star fish!

This was a felt board of the ocean..totally made me feel like Primary!

Taking a stroll after stuffing ourselves with Ivar's fish and chips....and clam chowder!

After a "whirling" ride on the Carousel. Payson loved it....Shayne...hmm

This picture is classic! Payson was jammin DDR. He looks like a hardcore rocker!

Taking a ride on the ferry. Note the goober faces on the Heap boys and Jeremy has a nice smile! Apparently the "thrilled" look runs in the family!

Jonathan feeding the Seagulls. I won't tell you what he fed them!

We are getting better of remembering to take pics of ourselves!! We had such a fun time and were so glad we got to see everyone! Thanks again Joyce and Bill and Dan and Mareen! We are looking forward to seeing Tiffany and Ciara next month since we missed them this time!

Four Day Weekends Rock!

Well, after being gone for a month, Shayne was rewarded a 4 day weekend! Woohoo!! So we drove to Denver on friday and went to a very kid friendly indoor amusement park and spent the day. We had fun and Payson completely wore himself out! This is completely random but, Shayne and I used to take pics together of ourselves all the time, but it seems like since Payson has been born, we don't as often. But we took one the other day and yes, we are still as cute as ever!!

Payson stopping for a pose in the race car!

He had a blast playing in the foam ball play house!

Sliding down the bouncy slide with Poppa! FYI, he is deathly afraid of slides!

Having lunch, sportin a sticker!

Shayne got to play some video game!

Payson had fun following us around the mini golf course. He had his own ball and would throw it in the hole and then fish it out!

I thought he looked so cute sitting with his legs crossed!

Payson and Mamma!
